Custom Processing Agreement
1. Processing Instructions
You (the customer) must complete a Cut Sheet upon drop-off or when called with hang weights. Once submitted, you will only have 3 days to make changes. If instructions are not received in time, your animal will be processed into standard cuts to keep production on schedule.
2. Pickup and Storage
Product must be picked up within 14 days of completion, unless prior arrangements are made. A storage fee of $1.50 per box per week will be charged after 14 days. After 3 months, unclaimed products will be sold to cover processing costs.
3. Quality Assurance
We follow USDA regulations for safety, cleanliness, and recordkeeping. Once your product leaves our facility, we cannot be held responsible for quality issues caused by improper transportation, freezing, thawing, or long-term storage. Homestead Meats only guarantees the quality of animals we raise. 3rd party animals are processed without any guarantee of finish, taste, or quality.
4. Disputes or Complaints
Concerns must be reported within 30 days of pickup. We will review all valid concerns and take appropriate steps to resolve them. Complaints made after 30 days may not be addressed.
5. Legal Notes
This is a custom processing service, not a retail meat purchase. Final cuts are based on the animal’s condition and your instructions. Homestead Meats, its owners, or employees will not be held liable for taste, texture, or yield issues caused by animal quality or improper handling and storage after pickup.
