Colorado Homestead Ranches consists of six ranching families. All of our families came to Colorado’s North Fork Valley before 1900. In fact, two of the ranches are Colorado “Centennial Ranches”. This prized designation indicates the ranch has been owned by the same family for more than 100 years.
Our ranchers have been recognized by many different organizations for their stewardship of the land. One received the “Range Family of the Year Award” in 1998 from the Colorado Cattlemen’s Association and another was named the “Soil Conservationist” of the Year in 1997.
The North Fork Valley of Western Colorado offers abundant resources for the production of healthy livestock--clean mountain water, fresh air, abundant grass and over 300 days of sunshine.
By coupling these resources with many generations of ranching “know-how”, we create a low-stress environment in which cattle thrive. This is precisely how we can naturally raise the high quality livestock that we do.
